How to Give to Your Member Station
The work of local NPR Member stations is central to the far-reaching impact of public radio. They share our mission to create a more informed public, one challenged and invigorated by a deeper understanding and appreciation of events, ideas and cultures. Member stations are community institutions, providing their listeners with important local news, information, and cultural programming. They are a unique and vital asset to the communities they serve, and a valuable editorial resource to NPR. Together, NPR and Member stations are reaching an audience of millions each week — but not without your generous support.

How to Give to NPR
NPR gratefully accepts contributions of both general and designated support. General support provides invaluable assistance where it is needed most. Gifts may also be designated to a specific and meaningful area of interest such as coverage of international news, science, arts and culture, NPR Music, etc.

Estate Planning
Some donors elect to ensure the vitality of NPR far into the future by including NPR in their estate planning. These donors make a valuable contribution to supporting the mission of NPR and our Member stations while reaping the benefits of federal and state tax laws that may allow reduction of income, lower gift and estate taxes, or provide additional income during the donor's lifetime.

Employer Gift Matching
Many employers offer matching gift programs that can double or even triple a donation's value. Check with your company to see if they will match your gift to NPR.
Combined Federal Campaign
Employees of the U.S Government can also support NPR through the Combined Federal Campaign, which actively promotes and supports philanthropy among federal civilian, postal and military donors.

NPR generally doesn't disclose information about its donors, except where permitted by the donor, required by law or government regulation, or as otherwise specified when we collect the information. We do publicly acknowledge donors above a certain level, unless a donor has requested anonymity, but do not include contact or other personal information about donors in our public listings of donors. In addition, we may share information about donors with Member stations that are associated with the donor on the NPR Services or that are local to the donor, unless the donor has requested anonymity. If you do not want us to share your name, contact information, or other information, including information about your donations to NPR, with Member stations, you can contact us any time. For more information, please see NPR's Privacy Policy. If you choose to donate to an NPR Member station through the NPR Services, your information may be collected directly by that Member station. In that case, the collection of your information is subject to that Member station's privacy policy.
